CIAO A TUTTI...I was making one experience that I learning with nice lutier from EUA. He explained that making a natural colorant can be used only 3 ingredients, is sugar, colofonia and for last, alcool.
He explained that was needed a eletric fire, dont use a fire, only eletric resistence, and I made this, and I liked very much its result. Easy for aplications, several coats dont need, only two or two and half. After this aplications, I'll enter with my spirit varnish. too I have utilized a bit of the betume from judeia for showing a bit artificial damage in the back, corners, inside a scroll and inside a box scroll.
My spirit varnish is simple, have goma laca, mastic and sandarac.
I think that of the best result this natural color, is that he show very well a
flame of the maple wood and of course, is natural.
And sorry for my poor english, I dont utilized a google tradutors.
In these two last pics show only a natural gold color. I don't used anilina chemical in these viola, only sugar, colofonia and alcool.
