Allright Markoff. Now I start to understand your point.
Can you give us some other data to identify the instrument whose inside of the corner blocks and linings you showed us? Maybe a picture of top, rear and scroll and upper and lower blocks? Is there any Label? A close up picture of the corners from the outside would be appreciated too.
Grazie

The owner is from Indonesia. Sent violin 3 years ago and asked me to identify, restore, and sell it for him. Very beautiful instrument with full, rich, warm tone quality.
Who should own such an instrument? Artist? Amateur? Shop Boy?

Sig. Pergiuseppe,
Every major violin dealer in Europe (since the early 19th century) has always refused to believe in the existence of the Italian liutaro Joseph Guarnerius Alumunus Andrea Gisalberti. Then if the maker "never existed" there can be "no copies". So where did the violins come from? Out of the blue Cremona sky? I think not. This maker is Guarneri del Gesu!!
Horace Petherick and Karel Jalovec proved all the dealers wrong!
Have you studied Petherick? Have you studied Jalovec?
I have, for many years, and every thing they wrote makes sense to me.
Now, I have produced photographs that proves Petherick and Jalovec were both correct! I rest my case.

Claudio,
Research and study brings knowledge. Knowledge brings certainty.
Certainty through having real knowledge of a subject is a better condtion than a lack of knowledge.
Were you not taught by a knowledgeable master to make violins?
I would hope so, but one thing is absolutely for certain.
No violin has ever known the name of the person who made it!
What an irony!

Good Evening Markoff.
Your passion is compelling and your "stamina" in defending your positions is equalled only by the one of John Thornton from Brewton, Alabama.

Should be hard work to sustain your own opinions against people like Roger Hargrave and Phil Margolis just to name a few.
Buona sera Markoff.

Master Claudio, being the thread still opened, this "litigation" still has not entered history.
