I am extremely happy with the first test-drive on violin. The first thing I feel was the strong timbre, mature and very clean. Still need the most adjust on bridge and soul, I am put only for teste drive. The balance between the four strings are perfect with much natural harmonicl. I think maybe that this bass bar have contributed generously for a nice sucess this violin.
So I began the work of varnish. In this first image is already during the first coat of base color, or golden yellow, it is that preparation of colophony, sugar and alcohol. two or three coats are sufficient to provide a golden yellow base. I will always make this violin background pictures to get a better idea of the work progress. good bye.

Thanks so much my friends. My varnish is very simple....I makin with 900ml alcool, 150gr goma laca, 20gr mastic and 15gr sandarac and a little terebintine only for leave a nice perfum. this varnish cause a aspect more plastific is very elastic too. I like this texture cause remember a bit oil.
